Open Records

Every engagement produces a Proof Binder: a complete, organized record of sourcing, price analysis, compliance, and delivery. It is assembled on the assumption that a public-records request, an inspector general review, or a renewed solicitation cycle will one day read it.

When we support a public agency, the agency remains the custodian of its own records under the applicable public-records or freedom-of- information law. We furnish the underlying documentation the agency needs to respond to a request completely and on time.

If you are a member of the public, a journalist, or an auditor seeking records related to a ProofBinder engagement, contact the relevant agency first, since it is the record custodian. If you believe ProofBinder holds responsive material, email office@proofbinderusa.com with a description of what you are seeking. We will respond promptly and coordinate with the agency as needed.

Open by default does not mean careless. We withhold what the law requires us to withhold — personal information, security-sensitive details, and legitimately confidential commercial information — and we document the basis for any redaction so the withholding is itself reviewable.
